Katherine Wingard Sherman

katherine-shermanKatherine Wingard Sherman graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 2001, where she majored in political science and sociology. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Sherman worked at Simpson Thacher and Bartlett’s New York office as a legal assistant in the litigation department where she worked on complex commercial litigation actions. She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2006.

After law school, Ms. Sherman was a law clerk in the Staff Attorneys’ Office at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. While at the Second Circuit, Ms. Sherman worked on the Court’s pro se docket and handled cases involving criminal appeals, employment discrimination, prisoners’ rights, habeas corpus, and immigration. Ms. Sherman is admitted to practice law in New York and is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the New York County Lawyers’ Association.

Ms. Sherman is married to Investment Banker Nathaniel Sherman.
